Tickets are on sale for the highly anticipated 2011 American Legion World Series in Shelby, N.C., Aug. 12-16. General admission for a single game ticket is $7, or $30 for the entire tournament. Reserved, box and rocking chair seating are also available for additional fees.
Tickets for the World Series celebration banquet taking place Aug. 11 are also available for purchase. During the evening banquet, exciting events will occur such as the recognition of the eight baseball teams, a performance by the 82nd Airborne All American Chorus, and a presentation from National Commander Jimmie Foster.

Since winning the bid to permanently host the Legion World Series, the Shelby World Series Committee has been diligently working on creating a “wow” effect on all who attend, especially when it comes to upgrades at Keeter Stadium. To date, the stadium features new 12-by-70 sunken dugouts while the 1,800 square-foot World Series headquarters building is still under construction along with the canopy extensions and additional seating.
