Veteran business owners invited to convention

The American Legion welcomes veteran entrepreneurs, business owners, contractors and any veterans interested in business to Indianapolis for its annual National Convention Business Conference, held at the downtown Marriott Hotel Ballroom on Aug. 27-28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The conference brings together veterans from all arenas and industries of the business world for a free match-making and training event.

Speakers from the public and private sectors will present and offer hands-on training sessions. The lineup currently includes officials from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Clark Construction, the departments of Veterans Affairs, Defense, Labor and Homeland Security, along with other professional trainers, senior federal executives, contracting experts and seasoned veteran business owners.

Members of The American Legion’s Small Business Task Force, which is hosting the conference, also will provide assistance in the training sessions. Attendees will receive the most up-to-date information available, and local federal offices will be on-hand to provide direct assistance to companies who attend.

The conference is free, but space is limited. Those interested in attending are encouraged to register as soon as possible, as the event always reaches capacity. Registration can be found here.
