Legion job fair coming to New Jersey

Legion job fair coming to New Jersey

The American Legion Department of New Jersey is teaming up with the Camden County Board of Freeholders May 4 for the fourth annual Camden BB&T Pavilion job fair. The job fair is open to veterans, members of the military and their spouses.

The job fair will take place from 3-7 p.m. at the Camden BB&T Pavilion, One Harbour Blvd., Camden, and will include national and New Jersey employers who have current job openings.

The job fair also will have interview and résumé skills workshops conducted by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Department of Veterans Affairs will provide women veterans services.

“These (job fairs) are still very important because there are younger veterans returning who need jobs,” said Bob Looby, chairman of the department’s Employment and Education Committee. “And just as valuable are these workshops focusing on interviewing skills, résumé writing and, most recently, the women veterans interactive workshops.”

Although walk-ins are welcome, those wishing to pre-register to attend the hiring fair can click here.

Employers interested in participating must pre-register by April 24 here.
