Small business resource event scheduled in D.C.

Representatives from The American Legion will be on hand for a small business resource event in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 19.

The DC Metro Small Business Resource Event is organized by Vets GSA, GCO Consulting, Federal Marketing Strategies LLC and Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at 607 14th St. NW, Washington, D.C.

Veterans who own or plan to start their own small business in the DC Metro area are encouraged to attend the event, whose theme is “Experts and Resources for Small Business Growth.” Business leaders and small business community members will share their tips for success. The event will include a networking lunch and representatives from The American Legion will provide resources and support for veterans seeking to start their own small businesses.

Topics to be addressed include legal/compliance requirements, finance and accounting requirements, staffing and recruiting best practices, marketing strategies and more.
