Online seminar to address Paycheck Protection Program for small business owners

The deadline for small business owners to apply for the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program is June 30, pending legislation introduced last week in both the House and Senate.

The American Legion’s Veterans Education and Employment Division is joining the SBA and Capital Bank for an online presentation from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET on June 26 to discuss changes to the PPP and explain what to expect during the application process.

The Paycheck Protection Program is a loan to encourage small business owners to keep workers on the payroll. SBA will forgive loans if all employees are kept on the payroll for eight weeks and the money is used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest or utilities.
