Hybrid career fair draws job seekers in person and online

While many job fairs continue to be held virtually in the midst of the pandemic, some have opened to in-person events as well, creating hybrid opportunities for job-seeking veterans and military spouses to engage with prospective employers.

One example is the Sept. 22 event presented by the American Legion Department of Texas, in conjunction with the Texas Veterans Commission and Texas Workforce Commission.

That event was the third presented by the Department of Texas since the pandemic began but the first in that time with in-person attendance.

National and international companies including Amazon, The Home Depot, UPS and more have participated in the events, which have drawn nearly 2,000 job-seekers from across the globe.

A select list of virtual, in-person and hybrid job fairs can be found at legion.org/careers/jobfairs. Check the link regularly as new events are added on a regular basis.
