As the 2012 presidential primaries continue, American Legion National Headquarters is encouraging Legionnaires to exercise their right to vote, and empower others to do the same, by mailing out updated "Get Out The Vote" brochures to departments.
The American Legion’s National Americanism Commission "Get Out The Vote 2012" brochure aids Legionnaires on ways to run a successful voting campaign. Posts can encourage voting by becoming involved in registration drives and sponsoring town hall meetings, while Legionnaires can serve as poll volunteers or poll workers. These are only a few of the many tips the brochure features on how to encourage citizens to vote.
Tell us about your Legion posts "Get Out the Vote" activities by downloading and returning the project feedback form located at http://www.legion.org/documents/legion/pdf/vote_feedback.pdf.
Information about how to run a successful "Get Out the Vote" campaign is available by viewing the downloadable brochure here.
