61st edition of ‘Need A Lift?’ available

The American Legion recently launched its 61st edition of "Need a Lift?" – a comprehensive college financial aid guide geared toward young adults preparing for higher education.

The updated 152-page handbook, along with the CD-ROM, provides users with the most accurate college information regarding scholarships, and federal and state benefits. Additionally, it lists available scholarships for veterans and their dependents, and Legionnaires and their family members. "Need A Lift?" also makes applying for college more enjoyable due to the informative material on how to:

  • Apply for financial aid
  • Pursue scholarships, grants and loans
  • Calculate financial needs
  • Review college and university profiles that feature tuition, room and board costs, admission fees and financial aid deadlines
  • Find websites and other sources for career opportunities

Download a free copy of the 2012 "Need A Lift?" by visiting www.legion.org/needalift or click to purchase the CD-ROM for $1.95.
