Series webcast audience soars

Through 13 games, The American Legion Baseball World Series live webcast drew an Internet audience of more than 97,000 unique viewers worldwide on The American Legion Baseball site. With one and possibly two more games to play in the title round of the tournament at Spokane, Wash., the number of unique viewers is expected to pass the 100,000 mark - more than five times the audience that tuned in last year, the first time the tournament was streamed live on the Legion Web site.

The championship game today between Midwest City, Okla., and Eden Prairie, Minn., will air at 7 p.m. EST. If Midwest City wins that game, a second will be streamed live at 10 p.m. EST, and the champion will be crowned.

The webcasts generated more than 2.8 million viewer minutes between Friday and Monday.
