You assume that since there has been a small return of the survey that armed forces personnel think this is a done deal. Where does any proof of that come from? Do you have any research to show that this is true?

I can make another suggestion that is probably more true than your statement - young folks just don't care. It is a non-issue for them, and they are the ones who will "inherit" the armed forces from their older, bigoted superiors when they retire.

Get over it and get on with it. Too many skill competencies, particularly in foreign languages, are being lost. Too much training money is going out the window as the military still seems to be kicking real talent out the door.
