GETTING the word out on TALARC

Forums:

Attached is a link to the NJ Legionnaire the American Legion Publication in NJ.
http://www.evergreeneditions.com/publication/?m=26416&l=1 . I wrote the Adjutant about TALARC, sent him this web site and and a copy of the logo and asked him to post a note about TALARC in the next issue. Was wondering if there is a similar publication in all states and maybe someone in each could do the same. Or maybe the Headquarters has a list of all Adjutants and could do a blanket email to help spread the word. Just an idea.....73 de WA2VFK

I am glad to see that the Department of NJ is getting the word out by helping. I have contacted the Department of Michigan by email on several occasions and have not heard anything back. Time to pick up the telephone and call them.

Again, I am glad that NJ is getting the word out.

Best regards,

Just spoke with the editor of The Hoosier Legionnaire here in Indiana. Feature article on Indiana American Legion Ham Radio and the presence of TALARC and K9TAL in Indianapolis. Word is indeed getting out, but we must keep pressing!

I spoke with a gentlemen at the Department of Michigan AL Office and he is going to get some information in our Department Newsletter as well as send out some individual letters to each post. He is excited about the opportunities that TALARC bring and just has been waiting for someone to step forward to help as he knows nothing about "HAM" Radio. I sent him some flyers, brochures, and invited him to join an upcoming Technician Class.

Best regards,
