Legacy Run online registration deadline Aug. 1

Those wishing to register for the 2014 American Legion Legacy Run, sponsored by USAA, have until Aug. 1 to do so. So far, more than 540 participants have registered - a pace ahead of last year. To register online, click here.

After Aug. 1, participants can still register by mail or in person on Aug. 16 in Indianapolis. However, National Headquarters cannot guarantee there will still be patches, event guides and other materials available that day.

This year, non-riders may also register in support of The American Legion Legacy Run. "Non-riding supporters" provide much of the resources needed to conduct the Run each year - and all supporting registrations of $25 or greater will receive the full map book set and 2014 American Legion Legacy Run Patches by return mail with our thanks.Registration fees remain unchanged for 2014. Rider (operator) registration is $50. Passenger registration is $25. Passengers must register separately from the rider/operator.The Legacy Run raises money for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships for the children of U.S. servicemembers killed while on active duty on or after Sept. 11, 2001.The American Legion Legacy Run is open to all licensed motorcyclists with machines (motorcycles, scooters, trikes, Spyders, etc.) of 750cc displacement and above.
