2011 National Convention App now available

2011 National Convention App now available

At the 92nd American Legion National Convention in Milwaukee last year, The American Legion Magazine Division staffed a booth to explain how members can best use the newly redesigned legion.org website. Visitors of the booth also offered suggestions for the future. One of the most common requests was for the creation of a national convention app for smart phones.

Thanks to those suggestions, those attending the 93rd National Convention in Minneapolis this year will have such an app, available for use with an iPhone/iPad, Android, and a mobi site for BlackBerry and other mobile phones and tablets

The 2011 National Convention App features maps of downtown Minneapolis, hotel listings, a lineup of commission and convention floor speakers, and a "Daily News" section that will provide updates to schedules and information about speakers. The app also includes links to social media such as Twitter and the 2011 National Convention Facebook page, as well links to national convention headlines.

The app is available for download now. Click on any of the above links to access the app.
