Watch color guards and concert bands compete live

Many awards will be given out during the 98th National Convention in Cincinnati, for accomplishments of the last year or a lifetime. But two will be decided at the convention - the Color Guard and Band contests.

The National Color Guard Contests will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26. Competing units include:

The National Concert Band Contests will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27. Competing entries include:

Minnesota's 9th District American Legion Band (Exhibition)

Joliet American Legion Band

American Legion Band of Greater Kansas City

Both contests will be streamed live, free of charge, on legion.org.
