In 2007 the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation gave Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County a generous grant of $24,350. This donation has allowed the organization to give a free copy of the “Mentoring Answer Book” and the “Mentoring Handbook” to over 2,000 mentoring organizations across the United States. We are therefore dedicating the printing of these books to the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation for the charitable work they do to enhance the welfare of children across our country. Mentoring programs in all fifty states will be able to better train their mentors to provide the best guidance possible as a result of the foundation’s kindness.
