New Jersey wins consecutive World Series title. Brooklawn, N.J., Post 72 defeated Midland, Mich., 18-0 in seven innings during the 2014 American Legion Baseball World Series championship game on Aug. 19 in Shelby, N .C. It was Brooklawn’s second consecutive ALWS win, fourth overall title and 15th ALWS appearance. It was also the first time in 40 years a World Series team has won a back-to-back championship title.
