Over the past eight years, the Fogg-Roberts American Legion Post 78 in Hyde Parke, Mass., has raised and donated $100,000 to programs that support veterans.

"The members of Fogg-Roberts Post 78 are excited that we can assist the men and women of our armed forces and that our service to them is appreciated," said Post 78 Commander Bill Maclver.

Donations have been distributed to veteran assistance programs such as the Legion’s Operation Comfort Warriors program and the Massachusetts National Guard Family Readiness Group. The money is raised during Post 78’s annual summer fundraiser, which involves food and raffle prizes.

"We will continue to help our brothers and sisters in arms moving forward," Maclver said. "The Fogg-Roberts post has a nickname – the little post that can."
