March in Limerick Veterans Day parade

Featured in FODPAL

Each year, on the last Sunday in May, we the members of the Patrick Sarsfield Branch of Oglaigh Naisiunta na hEireann, together with representatives of other various branches and veterans organisations, gather at our monument in Pery Square to pay tribute to past comrades and friends. We particularly remember those who gave their lives in the cause of world peace, either here at home or while on overseas duties.
Limerick International Veterans Day – May 25th 2014
Our branch has decided that this year we will embrace the sentiments of the City Of Culture 2014 and greatly expand our service of remembrance. Together with local and national dignitaries, we are inviting representatives of veterans associations from all corners of the globe to parade with us on this very special occasion. Over 30 national and international organisations are being invited and we would be most honoured if your esteemed officers and members would join us on this memorable day. Please read and R.S.V.P. at your earliest convenience.
