Virgin Islands Post 90 conducts welcome event

On Nov. 11, American Legion Post 90, U.S. Virgin Islands, Department of Puerto Rico, welcomed about 20 wounded warriors that came on the cruise ship Regal Princess. The National Guard band was in attendance, and gave them a taste of calypso as well as the Army song. They were well received. Each soldier and their family member was presented with a briefcase bag with several items inside from the Virgin Islands Department of Tourism. The wounded warriors were taken on a tour and treated to lunch at Secret Harbor. We pray that they will have a good time despite the weather. We thanked them all for their valuable service to our nation, and pray that God will continue to bless them as they continue to recover from their injuries. We give a special hallo to Bill Kasen for his great effort in getting our heroes to our shores.
