ARES and many EmComm groups have a reflective vest that they wear when providing emergency communications at events, disasters, and other functions outdoors. Are there plans to have a TALARC Amateur Radio Emergency Communications vest? If not, how can a post go about getting permission to use the American Legion or TALARC emblem on a reflective vest that they have made to wear for events and disasters?
Our post group is preparing to provide amateur radio communication support for our community's upcoming Memorial Day parade. We would like to have reflective vest for this that promote us.

Permission is easy to get, but remember to work through your post and department. National Adjutant will grant permission for local vendor to apply patches or embroider our name and emblems on locally-procurred vests or jackets. The application form is located in the Officers Guide (your adjutant has a copy) or use the online form (type in "emblem" in the search box of the home page of this website). Members can get permission for use of our logos for just about any reason--signs, ball caps, shirts, jackets, desk name plates or call sign plates, etc.
Also, Special Order Desk at Emblem Sales can quickly get quotes for you for customized reflective vests and other safety gear at a great price--and no need to gather permissions separately. Call toll free at (888) 453-4466.
Ask them about American Legion amateur radio...

Thank you Bill
I have the specifications all done up and a vest made up "Amateur Radio Emergency Communications" on the back. It is a ANSI Type 2, 5-point break away vest. The only thing I do not have on it is a B&W TALARC logo for the front left side. The position is marked though in the photographs that I will be sending in to Emblem Sales for custom work. I left it as a generic TALARC EmComm vest so that it can be added to the items available to all posts. There is plenty of room for post to add their own specializations as needed. We are only going to add a AL ID badge for the left side.
