Folks, Joe Dunphy, Retired NCO US Army Signal Corps, call sign K9MBA, Amateur Extra Class, in Clifton, NJ here. Just wanted to let you know that our local amateur radio club, ArcSquared, in Fairfield, NJ, offers 1 and 2 day free classes, followed by VE sessions, for ALL classes of ham radio license--Tech, General, and Extra. (ARC Squared refers to our support of the American Red Cross, and we operate out of the Red Cross regiounal HQ and Disaster Center in Fairfield, NJ) We would be glad to let NJ hams know of this opportunity. Tech sessions are offered several times a year, General twice a year, Extra once a year. As far as I know, it's pretty difficult to find study sessions for General and Extra exams outside of Bergen County, and Passaic County, NJ. Some candidates travel quite far for the sessions, and there may be some people from the legion or Sons of the American Legion ranks who would like to know of these opportunities.
