Special Event Net to be held Nov. 11

On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, the American Legion headquarters staff and station K9TAL will anchor our annual “special event” net, using call sign N9V, honoring our nation’s veterans. Amateur operators who log contact N9V (or any of our affiliated stations around the country) will be eligible to receive a special certificate for their “radio shack.”

The American Legion Amateur Radio Club (TALARC) will operate special event stations using the call sign N9V [November-Niner-Veteran]. The purpose of this special event is to underscore the importance of Veterans Day via the amateur radio community and acknowledge the honorable nature of military service.
Any ham radio operator who contacts a station is eligible to receive a QSL card and a commemorative certificate to document their participation.
