National Amateur Radio Field Day, as described by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), is "ham radio's open house." Every June 25, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to communities and nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933 and remains the most popular event in ham radio. More information is available on the ARRL website, or Google "National Amateur Radio Field Day 2022.”

If your TALARC club, or you as an individual, plan to participate in Field Day this year, please share any photos or videos with other members by sending them to ledwards@legion.org for posting on the TALARC website. Be sure to identify the people or activities depicted. Amateur Radio also has its own category on Legiontown.
