KA5LIE reported that consideration is being given to establishing a post radio station in order to provide assistance and cooperation to existing emergency management agencies within the area.
K6DLC, who is active within the California American Legion Amateur Radio Commission – a duly constituted entity within the California department – recommended that other departments might want to consider looking at the possibility of establishing similar sanctioned authority within their respective departments.
N6SWC reported that his post [CA 380] was working with a neighboring post to combine operations for a joint radio station.
