Youth who are certified by their respective department as the department oratorical champion by March 15 will be awarded a $5,000 academic scholarship.
Dec. 15 marks the anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. Legion's oratorical contest promotes the understanding of the U.S. Constitution.
The April event will be held live and in person. By national rules, if a department plans to send its department oratorical finalist to Indianapolis to compete in the 2021 contest, department finals contest shall conform with national contest procedures, rules and regulations.
