Where does The American Legion stand on getting to the bottom of what happened in Benghazi?

Answer:

The American Legion is actively supporting legislation, sponsored by Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia, that calls for Congress to establish a select committee to investigate and report on the attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Last August, we passed a resolution during our National Convention in Houston that demands a full accounting – from the highest level of our government -- of events that occurred in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012.
On this topic, National Commander Daniel Dellinger has said, “For The American Legion, this is not a political matter. We view this accounting and report as a moral obligation to those fallen victims, and their survivors and families, as well as a duty to our country, to find out exactly what happened there that fateful day and to resolve unanswered questions.”
