BIKERS HELPING HOMELESS VETERAN

The Bettendorf American Legion Riders, Chapter 154, are partnering with The Eagles Nest Veterans Home, Inc. The Legion Riders have adopted a room at the facility and furnished it for homeless veterans.

“When we heard The Eagles Nest Veterans Home, Inc., mission statement,” stated Paul Jones, member of the Legion Riders, “and how they were trying to assist our homeless veterans, we knew had to do what we could to help”.

The Eagles Nest Veterans Home Inc., is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit future transitional living facility that will provide assistance to U.S. veterans of any era the opportunity to return to useful and productive lives by providing them with the skills needed for independent living.

The Shelter, located at 732 W. 5th St, Davenport, Iowa will provide a variety of independent living/transition housing services which will aide in letting our homeless veterans know that there are many people who greatly care about their life after their military service.
