Girls State

Girls State is a one-week conference in which the young women selected by their respective Units study local, county and state government processes. Approximately 500 young women attend from throughout California. It will be held at Claremont-McKenna College at Claremont University in California from June 25th to July 1st. The young women selected are in the top of their class academically and are active in numerous extracurricular activities. They demonstrate high moral character and show strong leadership abilities.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 291 sponsors nine delegates from nine local high schools.
