Membership workshop set for this weekend

Membership will be on the minds of hundreds of Legionnaires converging on Indianapolis this weekend for the annual National Membership Workshop.

At the workshop, attendees will hear from National Commander Michael D. Helm, National Adjutant Daniel S. Wheeler, leading candidate for 2015-2016 national commander Dale Barnett, National Membership Chairman Ken Orrock and Legionnaire Charles Schmidt, a consultant to the Legislative Commission.

Joe Grassi, director of the Legion’s National Security Division, also will brief those in attendance on access to military installations for nonprofit entities.

During the two-day session, attendees will go into breakout sessions to hear presentations on social media, public relations, marketing, district revitalizations, and recruiting and retention.
