Veterans outreach, assistance scheduled for Massachusetts

Department of Massachusetts Legion Family members are teaming up to conduct a district revitalization and veterans outreach effort Feb. 21-22 in and around Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties. Legion Family members will be on hand to discuss veterans benefits, the Legion’s legislative efforts, membership opportunities and service to the community.

The effort is hosted by American Legion Post 64 and will take place from 1-5 p.m. Feb. 21 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Oak Point Ballroom, 200 Oak Point Dr., Middleborough.

A veterans service officer will be available to discuss claims and other Department of Veterans Affairs benefits-related questions.
