Legion Impact Report: Vaccinations, podcast record, grants and more

The American Legion entered its 103rd year of service to community, state and nation with a busy month that started with legislative testimony before a joint session of the House and Senate Committees on Veterans’ Affairs, continued with a record number of Tango Alpha Lima podcast downloads, provided assistance with COVID-19 vaccinations and wound up pre-registering more than 1,000 participants for the second annual 100 Miles for Hope challenge in support of The American Legion Veterans & Children Foundation.

As the pandemic entered its second year, American Legion national claims specialists were working hundreds of cases for veterans throughout the country, free of charge, and 70 more American Legion posts received grants from National Headquarters to offset financial problems caused by COVID-19.
