15th U.S Army Engineers Company
Granite monument with bronze plate at the site of Camp D.D. Gaillard where this volunteer company of combat engineers trained from May 23,1917 to July 6, 1917. When they arrived in England, they were the first armed foreign troops to do so since the 16th Century.
