Woodlawn Cemetery Veterans Memorial

A granite monolith in the veterans section of the historic cemetery of Denmark Manor United Church of Christ, dedicated to all the men and women who served The monument was donated by M/SGT Jules Desgain, who in World War II served in the U.S. Army’s 83rd Infantry Division (Thunderbolt Division), 908th Field Artillery Battalion, B Battery. The 83rd Division landed in France on June 18, 1944, and fought in the battles of the Central European campaign until the surrender of Germany.
