Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument

Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument

The Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial Monument is a collaboration between the Hershel "Woody" Williams Medal of Honor Foundation and Indiana Gold Star (through nonprofit Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans, Inc). It is a tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, and those they left behind. The four black granite panels represent HOMELAND, FAMILY, PATRIOT and SACRIFICE. The soldier silhouette cut-out represents the absence and void of a loved one who lost their life due to their service to the United States of America. The memorial site is situated right next to the National American Legion Headquarters building at 760 N. Pennsylvania St.
