Gold Star Memorial

On Memorial Day, May 27, 2013, Post 34 Commander, Pasco Mayor Pro Temp and Gold Star Mother Shirley Schmunk unveiled the memorial at City View Cemetery in Pasco, Wash.

In January 2013, Commander Mike Jones had formed a committee consisting of each of the Legion Family (Sons, Auxiliary, Riders and Legion) members. Their duty was to raise funds for a Gold Star Memorial. On the memorial is the official Gold Star Mothers Plague. The plaque is the first one used on a memorial in the state of Washington. We, the members of Post 34, are proud of the way that our post family came together to complete this project.
