Fred was a member of the American Legion for 56 years,Clayton NY Post 0821 He passed away on September 12,2012.
He served in the United States Navy on the USS Waccamaw, from 1954-1957. He was always very proud of his service in the Navy and of his membership in the American Legion. Before transferring to the Clayton NY Legion he served many of his years in the Bergen NY Legion and the Chili NY Legion..
After his retirement, he enjoyed many years fishing and boating with his wife, Dorie, in the Thousand Island region of New York.
