Robert "Bob" L Skelton

Robert "Bob" L. Skelton, 57, husband, father and friend passed away on July 30, 2003, from a courageous battle with lung cancer and the side effects of radiation. Bob was born on July 3, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Harold and Leone Skelton. He is survived by his wife, Connie, twins - Michelle and Michael with wife Tanya, and his mother, Leone Skelton. He is also survived by two brothers Don and Dennis and a half-brother, Ron.

Living in Colorado since 1972, he celebrated life through hard work, laughter and love. He was the supervising accountant for the El Paso County Department of Transportation for 25 years. A special time was spent working with his friends at Current Inc. in the Finance Department.

Bob was proud to have served his country in Vietnam 1968-1969 (SPC 5) earning the Army Commendation Medal.

He was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan with a passion for fly-fishing. He enjoyed making everyone feel happy and special. His family will always remember his incredible strength and unconditional love.

Bob has been an inspiration and hero in his fight against cancer.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 4, 2003, at 1 p.m., at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80910. Burial took place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
