Cpl. Francis Monroe Allen

Posted in In Memoriam

This brave Marine died on Sunday, February 1, 1970, in a rice paddy near Tam Ky, Vietnam. He was a CAP Marine and served with me during the Vietnam War. He and seven Marines held out as long as they could against 200 NVA. The Vietnamese local militia there with them deserted, leaving the Marines to fight alone.
