Norbert Robert, 80, of Fair Lawn, N.J., died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Sept.24, 2014.
Born and raised in New York City, he resided in Fair Lawn for 53 years. A proud Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of American Legion Post 170 of Rochelle Park. Mr. Wilde was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church and a member of Knights of Columbus St. Ann's Council Post 2853 of Fair Lawn.
Prior to retiring, he was employed in the electronics department of N.Y. Life for 30ears.
Beloved husband of almost 57 years of Margaret (Knuth) Wilde. Loving and devoted father of Linda DeLorenzo and husband Richard, Marianne Wilde, Ashley Nicole Wilde and the late Teresa Ellen Wilde. Cherished grandfather of Thomas J. DeLorenzo. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Robert and Martina Wilde and his loving twin sister Eleanor Dunckelman.
The family received relatives and friends Wednesday, Oct.1, at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home in Fair Lawn. Funeral mass on Thursday, Oct. 2, at St. Anne R.C. Church. Cremation will be private.
