William H. Clark

Bill Clark passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, in Annandale, Va. He was 92. Cmdr. Clark was a native of Los Angeles and served as a flight instructor during World War II; after the war, he transitioned into Intelligence serving briefly with Project Blue Book and then the Naval Intelligence Service (now NCIS). During his career he was stationed in Long Beach, Morocco, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Guantanamo Bay and Norfolk. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betsy R. Clark; three children, Linda Spink (Bill) of West Chester, Pa., Richard Clark (Bunnie) of Springfield, Va., and William W. Clark (Debbie) of Herndon, Va.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Bill was an avid golfer most of his life and enjoyed living near the ocean in retirement in Ocean City, Md., and then Melbourne and Vero Beach, Fla.
