Robert A Stenman, 87, of Plumville, Pa., died Jan. 28, 2015, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The son of Carl and Agnes (Anderson) Stenman, he was born April 21, 1927, in Clymer. His life was enriched in June 1952 when he married Ella Lowman.
Bob was a 1945 graduate of Plumville High School, then served in the U.S. Army until 1947. He retired from McCreary Tire and Rubber after 28 years. He was a lifetime member of the Plumville District Volunteer Fire Department and had been an active member of the community. Bob helped at Shireman’s Florist because of his love of plants and gardening. He enjoyed bowling and seldom missed an opportunity to go hunting or fishing with his family.
Surviving is his wife Ella (Lowman) Stenman; children: Russell of Sahuarita, Ariz.; Roberta “Bobbie” Douglass, Rod and friend Candy, Ruth and Scott Fisher, all of Home; Rebecca “Becky” Hart, Indiana; Rhonda VanHorn and Gary Lam, Elderton; Rosella and David Williams, Indiana; Richard “Rick” and Chasity, Plumville; and daughter-in-law Candy Bricker, Chicora.
Bob was blessed with 17 grandchildren: Tonya, Sonya, Roger, Marcia, Jamie, Amber, Tyler, Jeremy, Craig, Angie, Joshua, Jesse, Seth, Veronica, Alexis and Dalton; four step-grandchildren, Desiree, Derek, Ashlee and Alysha; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Louise Good, Jane Isaacson and Betty Foose.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents; a son, Randy (1986); grandson Christopher (2003), and siblings, Leonard, Paul, Leroy and Esther.
