Alex J. Tannucilli

Alexander "Alex" Joseph Tannucilli Jr., 72, died suddenly Dec. 6, 2015 on Big Pine Key, Fla. He was born in Jersey City and was a resident of the Florida Keys.
Alex was a graduate of Pope Pius the XII High School, Passaic, N.J., and Seton Hall University undergraduate and law schools, as well as receiving a master's of foreign service from Georgetown University. He served as a captain in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence Corps in Germany. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans as well as numerous other military-related organizations. Admitted to the N.J. Bar in l989, Alex had his own law firm in Lyndhurst, N.J. for many years until retiring and moving to Big Pine Key in the lower Florida Keys. Alex was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served as Grand Knight of the Big Pine Key Chapter of St. Peter Church. In addition, he was a member of the Big Pine Key United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. Alex is predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Rose Tannucilli. He is survived by his companion, Katie McCarthy, his brother Jack and wife Elaine, his sister Diane and her husband Carmen Della Sala. Loving uncle of Danielle Lopes and husband Joseph, Anthony Della Sala and wife Dawn, John and Mark Tannucilli. Great-uncle of Joseph and Daniel Lopes, A.J. and Gianna Rose Della Sala.
