James Thomas Mack

Jim, 73, of Gilbert, Ariz., passed away at Hospice of the Valley 's Dobson House on Dec. 10, 2015, after a courageous eight-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Jim attended one year of college at Kent State. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and then moved to Arizona to earn degrees at ASU - a BS and MS in electrical engineering and an MBA. He worked 31 years at Motorola and retired after five years at Microchip Technology. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and great sense of humor and is missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim was born in Norwalk, Ohio, to William and Olive Mack and was the last of nine children. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Polly Mack, daughter Kelly Ballard, son-in-law Tony Ballard, granddaughter Kelsey Ballard, daughter Kerry Mack and future son-in-law Dave Bess.
