What was the title of the very first publication offering American Legion emblem merchandise?

"Catalogue of Official Badges and Souvenirs of The American Legion."

Copyrighted for the first time in 1919, it shows that the fledgling organization was already concerned with making sure that members had the opportunity to display their affiliation proudly. Only a few pages long, this first catalog mostly offered various types of badges. Readers were directed to address orders and communications to the Emblem Division at National Headquarters in Indianapolis.

In 2012, the National Emblem Sales Division processed 104,772 orders from its home at the Geiger Operations Center on the outskirts of Indianapolis.
