How does Post 5 in Alaska keep its beginnings in mind at all times?

By displaying the application, temporary charter and charter – with original signatures – from its founding in 1919. The documents are on display in the first two rooms in the downstairs section of the post's home in Seward, Alaska, and can also be viewed on the post's Centennial Celebration page.

In addition to being a centennial post gearing up for The American Legion's 100th Anniversary, Post 5 is also an active FODPAL post.
