What document gives Post 44 in South Dakota a permanent record of its founders?

A "Roll of Honor" created after the post's 1922 founding. The document lists the 16 charter members of Westlund Post 44, with a picture alongside of the original namesake, Cpl. Carl E. Westlund, who was killed in action on Oct. 5, 1918. It sits in a 9X11 frame in the post home, a former country school building maintained by the post.

In 1946, a new charter was issued and the post was renamed Westlund-Peterson Post 44. Raynold Peterson died during World War II.
