He beat cancer three times, now excels at fitness journey

Keith Koster took a break from his 100 Miles for Hope challenge to chat with The American Legion’s Tango Alpha Lima podcast for this week’s episode.

The Navy veteran and chaplain of Adirondack American Legion Post 70 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Koster is a three-time cancer survivor who completed his own centennial challenge, reaching the peaks of all 46 Adirondack Mountains in one year. He has also formed The American Legion’s 4th District Fitness Club as a way to promote wellness in his area in eastern New York.

Tango Alpha Lima co-hosts Mark Seavey, Ashley Gorbulja-Maldonado and Jeff Daly chat with Koster about the ongoing 100-mile challenge, his mountain climbing, how his time in the military shaped his leadership skills and his other activities like the fitness club and Boy Scouts.
