Congress will recess without having completed a federal budget. Should Congress be allowed to break under those circumstances?

It is difficult to discuss the success of Congress with out digressing into four-letter words. Nevertheless, I'll try. Congress has failed to effect much legislation in the past ten years (probably many times more years). When the people vote, the do not sign up for this fiasco in the Senate that requires 60 votes to accomplish anything. Fifty-one votes should be all it takes, the filibuster is a serious deterent to our government's being able to function. One of the results is President Obama gets the black eye (no pun intended) and the Democrats who are trying to save this country are sabotaged by the Republicans who just want to get back into power. God save us all if Sarah Palin gets elected to anything in the Federal Government, especially since there is no federal dog catcher.

In my response, all due respect to the Captain's rank, it is not about Sarah Palin, the Democrats or the Republicans. It is totally about the issues! We as a Nation cannot endure the debts that we are incurring! We are writing checks that future gemerations cannot pay for. Enough is enough.

this year, has taken on the Obama vision to transform America to a secular progressive form of gov't, not to do the job of governing America. For obvious reasons, they will not identify their vision nor do they feel that the American people will accept their budget if they reveal it. Sadly, the democrat party now is being run by people whose philosophy sounds like the communist party of my early days. It is definitely not the party my parents supported. It is irresponsible and the people should not accept a congress that will not define a budget and do the people's business. This congress should be voted out of office.
