The GI Film Festival, 2010 winner of The American Legion National Commander’s Public Relations Award, is currently accepting entries for the 2011 festival, to be held May 9-15 in Washington.
The festival accepts documentaries and narratives, in all categories and of all lengths, that “honor the successes and sacrifices of American GIs.” This year, an additional screening category has been opened: “any narrative feature directed by a veteran.”
The early deadline is Dec. 15, and the regular deadline is Feb. 15; entries must be postmarked by these dates. Click here for more information or to submit a film. All submissions will also be considered for airing on the Discovery Network’s Military Channel as part of the festival’s new series.
