Despite disagreeing with the Legion's political views, I maintain membership because only the Legion has been holding the VA's feet to the fire, requiring that they provide wounded vets with the services that they were promised. My brothers and I all served...my younger brother was killed in Viet Nam in Sep '67. I have a stake in this fight.

I join the American Legion each year for all the reasons that were listed in the question plus the fact that we pride ourselfs in our
Patriotism.

I'm a PUFL member that joined the American Legion as a way to continue my service to the nation and our veterans.
